Project Description: The Timken Gym on the campus of The College of Wooster needed a new hardwood performance surface, replacing a 50-year old floor as part of a $5 million facility upgrade project. The recessed sub-floor in this facility required the ARS DIN sub-floor to be built up to the required 3 1/8” profile, and because the gym is located on a lower level in the Physical Education Center, a crane was needed to deliver the maple strip and sub-floor components to the installation site. Despite the unique challenges, the project was completed successfully, and the college is making full use of the space for men’s and women’s basketball, women’s volleyball and other activities.
