The Focus™ hardwood athletic flooring system is built to respond to different levels of athletic load. Stage One supports light athletic loads and individual athletes, while Stage Two reacts to heavier athletic loads and multiple athletes, helping create a performance surface that supports a wide range of sports, training, practices, events, and competitive play.

Focus™ uses a pre-manufactured plywood subfloor panel system with machined Athletic Response Ridge™ slots, anchor pockets, and attached Connor FR825 resilient pads. The system is designed with continuous linear resilient pads spaced an average of 8" on center, a full surface plate subfloor made from minimum 3/4" 7-ply plywood, and a 25/32" x 2-1/4" Northern Hard Maple flooring surface. This construction helps provide dependable subfloor support, consistent ball response, athlete comfort, and the durability expected from a high-performance maple gymnasium floor.

For projects with diverse site conditions or compressed construction schedules, Focus™ can be installed with Secure Grip Technology™, providing additional installation flexibility while maintaining the system’s premium performance characteristics. The system also supports common gymnasium flooring accessories and details, including vented wall base, threshold details, equipment sleeves, solid blocking, expansion spacing, and optional Connor^® Sports Court Cover protection.
