Project Description: This project was part of an expansion of the University Events Center at Texas State, adding 3,000 SF to the flooring space. The existing floor, an anchored channel system that resembled PermaFlex II, had reached the end of its useful life and was replaced by a Connor VIP sub-system, with First Grade maple laid in the competition court, and the remainder in Second and Better. Quality Hardwood Floors partnered with GC Turner Construction and the university to create a vibrant graphics package, incorporating custom gold-flecked metallic and maroon paints in the oversized center court logo, borders and keys.

The Texas State University project demonstrates the importance of hardwood athletic flooring in collegiate sports facilities. University courts must support competitive play, daily training, events, and the visual expectations of modern athletic programs.
