High-Performance Maple Sports Flooring System with Steel-Encased Flexible Sleeper Construction

The Connor Sports PermaFlex™ II Specialty Hardwood System is a resilient hardwood athletic flooring system engineered for gymnasiums, basketball courts, volleyball courts, fieldhouses, school athletic facilities, collegiate recreation centers, and multipurpose sports facilities that require strong subfloor performance, resilient support, and long-term maple sports flooring durability.

Designed with pre-drilled steel sleeper anchor pockets, PermaFlex™ II simplifies concrete anchoring while using time-tested Connor Rezill™ pads to create a high-performing athletic subfloor. The system combines steel-encased flexible sleepers, resilient pad support, plywood subfloor sheathing, and a premium maple playing surface to deliver the stability, responsiveness, and performance expected from a professional hardwood sports flooring system.

At the playing surface, PermaFlex™ II features Connor Laytite Maple, manufactured from MFMA Northern Hard Maple, delivering the durability, appearance, ball response, and playability expected from a premium hardwood basketball court floor. Beneath the maple surface, the system includes a minimum 6-mil polyethylene vapor barrier, 1/2" recycled rubber Connor Rezill pads, APA-rated plywood flex sleepers, 16-gauge coated steel PermaFlex II Channel, and APA-rated plywood subfloor sheathing.

PermaFlex™ II is built for projects that need resilient support and dependable anchorage. The system’s steel-encased flexible sleeper and plywood panel construction helps create a stable foundation beneath the hardwood surface, while pre-drilled sleeper anchor pockets support efficient concrete attachment. With profile height options of 2-1/2" with 25/32" maple flooring and 15/32" plywood, or 2-3/4" with 25/32" maple flooring and 23/32" plywood, PermaFlex™ II gives architects, contractors, athletic directors, and facility owners flexibility for both new construction and renovation projects.
