Simple and Economical Floating Maple Sports Flooring System with Resilient Pad Support

The Connor Sports Duracushion™ II Specialty Hardwood System is a resilient floating hardwood athletic flooring system engineered for gymnasiums, basketball courts, volleyball courts, school athletic facilities, recreation centers, fieldhouses, and multipurpose sports environments that need dependable maple sports flooring performance in a straightforward, cost-effective sleeper system.

Duracushion™ II is assembled using standard 3/8" Duracushion PVC resilient pads and nominal 2" x 3" softwood sleepers to create a simple and economical floating floor system for athletic and multipurpose facilities. This resilient sleeper design helps provide reliable support beneath the hardwood playing surface while keeping the system efficient for gym floor renovation and new construction projects.

At the surface, Duracushion™ II features Connor Laytite Maple, manufactured from MFMA Northern Hard Maple, delivering the classic look, durability, ball response, and playability expected from a premium hardwood basketball court floor. Beneath the maple surface, the system includes a minimum 6-mil polyethylene vapor barrier, Connor Duracushion pads, and softwood sleepers with five pads attached 12" on center.

Duracushion™ II offers practical profile height options based on pad selection, including a 2-5/8" profile height with 25/32" maple flooring and 3/8" pad, or a 2-7/8" profile height with 25/32" maple flooring and 5/8" pad. The system also supports sleeper spacing of 9" on center for 1st and/or 2nd grade flooring and 8" on center for 3rd grade flooring, giving contractors and facility teams clear installation flexibility based on the specified maple grade.
